Terms of Service

skoq.io is a marketplace that connects homeowners with independent, background-checked service professionals. We are not a contractor and do not perform the work ourselves. The professional matched to your job is solely responsible for it.

You sign in with your phone number and are responsible for keeping access to it secure and for the activity on your account. You must be at least 18 years old to book a job.

Prices shown before booking are estimates based on the details you provide and local market rates. Your final price is confirmed with the professional matched to your job and may change if the scope of work changes.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By booking, you authorize the charge for your order. Funds may be held until the job is complete. Any additional amounts agreed directly with your professional are charged through the same secure flow.

You can cancel an order from your dashboard before a professional begins work. If a professional has already been assigned, please contact us first so we can help. Refunds are handled in line with our satisfaction guarantee.

We currently accept orders within the Portland, OR metropolitan area (including Vancouver, WA). Addresses outside this area cannot be booked at this time.

The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, skoq.io is not liable for the acts, omissions, or work quality of independent professionals, or for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
